Mission Statement

The mission of the C4 Basketball Club is to provide an affordable environment in which at-risk Brockton youth can escape the pressures of the inner city, excel at the sport they love, and most importantly prepare for a college education.

Description

The C4 Basketball Club is centered in Brockton, MA. In this city, many kids come from low income families that cannot afford AAU basketball. The C4 Basketball Club aims to provide free opportunities to these kids as well as emphasize academic success.

The C4 Basketball Club is implementing a college-like mandatory Mathematics study hall for student-athletes. Players will meet with coaches and volunteer tutors for 1-hour before each practice and get help completing assignments. In addition, coaches will work closely with the school system to monitor progress. Players will also be required to complete weekly feedback surveys so that the program can adjust to meet the students needs.
