Mission Statement

MISSION:

Sport - To foster and promote women’s flat track roller derby to all women willing to learn, train, and participate, locally, nationally, and internationally in a full-contact, competitive sport.

Community - To support Tucson community organizations through altruistic actions featured at our local events.

Description

The Philosophy of the Tucson Roller Derby Organization is to educate and develop women by encouraging their interest and participation in flat track roller derby, to help other communities develop roller derby leagues, and to foster and promote roller derby through interleague, interstate, and international bouts.

Tucson Roller Derby’s governing philosophy is 'by the skaters, for the skaters’, and is an all-volunteer organization.

Tucson Roller Derby actively partners with other community organizations to offer support through volunteer efforts. We feature a local charity at every home event we hold.

Tucson Roller Derby is a fantastic 501(c)3 organization that offers a full-contact sport as entertainment to spectators while giving back to the Tucson community in a variety of ways. This organization works with different charities throughout the year to benefit their community and have great people involved with their group!
