Mission Statement

United Way of Greater Augusta, Inc. (UWGA) founded in 1941, includes the Greater Augusta Volunteer Center. As a part of that organization they serve Staunton, Augusta and Waynesboro. In active partnership with the community. Their mission is to serve as a catalyst to improve the lives of residents, through collaborations and community partnerships with organizations, businesses and individuals.

Description

The Greater Augusta Volunteer Center provides a central clearing house for volunteer opportunities with all nonprofits conducting events in the Staunton, Augusta and Waynesboro communities. The Center will aslo track volunteers, hours served and positive matches. In addition, workshops that support nonprofits in their volunteer efforts will be provided through a partnership with the Center for Nonprofit Excellance.
