Mission Statement

The mission of The Association for Community Counseling is to promote emotional well-being and resilience in the community through providing:
- Counseling at low or no cost and in a timely manner to clients who otherwise could not afford professional help
- Education and training to interested persons to help people heal and grow
- An opportunity for volunteers to participate in a positive service-centered community
- An inspiring model of a low cost, highly effective, all volunteer service that makes a positive difference

Description

The Association for Community Counseling is composed by experieneced Counselors, Psychologists and volunteers that participate in the organization as facilitators after receiving training.

Members of the Association for Community Counseling work in elementary, middle school and high school settings, senior centers, Headstart preschools and Easter Seals. The ACC also has all age levels of counseling groups in our Delray Beach (Florida) based office.

PRACTICUMS AND INTERNSHIPS

Graduates with educational qualifications in psychology, counseling or social work may volunteer as counselors. Others are encouraged to join our counseling teams as facilitators.

As members of the Association for the Community Counseling, all are welcome to be of service through grant writing, office management, fundraising and other activities.
