The YWCA is dedicated to eliminating racism and empowering women - a mission the organization promotes through four core program areas: Sexual Violence and Support Services, Early Childhood Services, Economic Empowerment Services, and the Center for Racial Justice and Activism. For more than 132 years, the YWCA has been committed to providing women with the support and tools necessary to transform their lives, be confident in their choices, and make valuable contributions to their communities. In 2010, the YWCA served more than 138,000 women and girls and their families in the city and suburbs.
