Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
Founded in 1989, the Trust works to conserve parrots in their natural habitat and advocate for their welfare in captivity.
Our work includes:
1) Field conservation projects on numerous parrot species to increase knowledge of their basic biology;
2) Educational initiatives in both parrot range countries and abroad to increase awareness of the plight of parrots and plans for action;
3) Parrot welfare projects focusing on both the welfare of birds already in captivity and;
4) The elimination of the international trade in wild parrots (and other birds) which leads to significant mortality, damage to wild population and suffering of individual birds.
To date we have helped more than 40 species at risk in 22 countries worldwide.
