Mission Statement

The mission of the Milford High School is to educate. We share with the Milford community the responsibility for preparing students for lifelong and productive living through empowerment of each individual in an enriching and compelling learning environment.

Description

The Milford High School PTSA is providing its 22nd consecutive "After Prom" on May 16th, 2010 at the Milford High School.

Almost sixty percent of fatal car crashes among teens involving alcohol or other substances occur during the prom season. After Prom is designed to provide our students a safe, fun and substance free night. After Prom is an all night event in which nearly 800 students are expected to attend. Since After Prom's inception, the community has experienced many safe prom years for our children. It takes approximately 250 adult volunteers to make this night happen, as well as many donations from individuals and local businesses.

After Prom is a lock-in. Students are required to arrive by 2:00 A.M.. If they do not arrive by then a call is made to his/her parents informing them that he/she is not at the event.

After Prom is so much fun! The kids have a blast and are a real treat to spend the night with. The activities are great and time really flies. Volunteers eat free and the people are nice. Not to mention, this is such a worthy cause!!
