Mission Statement
The Colorado Ski and Snowboard Museum and Hall of Fame preserves and interprets the history of skiing and snowboarding; honors those individuals who have made significant contributions to the sport; and educates the public about Colorado’s rich skiing legacy.
Description
The Colorado Ski & Snowboard Museum and Hall of Fame was established in 1976. The mission of the Museum is to preserve and appreciate the legacy of skiing and snowboarding in Colorado. The Museum is a private, non-profit organization funded primarily by memberships and special events. Within the Museum's collection are over 12,000 photographs, artifacts, pieces of equipment, and articles of clothing representing over 130 years of Colorado skiing. Exhibits on display include a timeline of Colorado skiing, Olympic and World Cup memorabilia, 10th Mountain Division, The Evolution of Snowboarding, and the Spirit of America's Champions.
