Description

The Deer Park Lions Club was chartered in 1974. In its history, the club has worked diligently to serve those less fortunate in the Gamber-Smallwood area of Carroll County, Maryland. More than $350,000 has been given back to our community through various service programs. We loan hospital equipment such as canes, wheelchairs, bedside commodes, crutches, walkers and shower stools and we collect used eyeglasses and hearing aids for recycling in third world countries. We participate in our state's adopt-a-highway program, we volunteer at our local food bank and we support the visually impaired and blind. In addition, our Lions have given thousands of man-hours of labor in service to our neighbors.
