"The mission of the Colorado Arts Center is to increase the profile and viability of Denver and surrounding areas as a cohesive cultural arts community by providing comprehensive educational and economic resources to support the personal and professional development of artists."

Description

In 2006, Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper commissioned a Task Force on Creative Spaces. The resultant Space Matters Report found that the city lacked a central "node" for musicians, actors, dancers and other artists to share and collaborate. CACI is working to serve that need, finding new ways to connect Colorado with its creative community.

The goals of the Colorado Arts Center, Incorporated are:

  • To develop an organized network of resources, organizations and artists,
  • To facilitate a range of professional and educational opportunities for artists of all disciplines and skill levels, and
  • To create and maintain a major regional arts center that will realize Denver’s vision as "The Creative Capital of the West".
