The mission of Rape Crisis and Sexual Assault Services is to provide crisis intervention, advocacy, counseling, and prevention education for children, women and men.

Description

Rape Crisis and Sexual Assault Services is a non-profit agency serving victims of sexual assault in the CSRA. RCSAS Volunteer Advocates are well trained to go into the Emergency Room when a victim of sexual assault presents. They advocate for children and adults. They provide comfort and information to victims in the ER. While there, Advocates accompany the victims throughout the law enforcement interaction and the medical/forensic evidence collection examination. Advocates may also attend judicial proceedings on behalf of victims and participate in community and awareness education events.

I feel it's very important to help those who have been thorugh horrific things, such as rape and sexual assault. I would love to help any way I can in hoping those who have experienced rape and/or sexual assault know that they are safe and there are people out there who care and want the best for them.
