Mission Statement

It is our mission to provide a volunteer Guardian ad Litem for every Greenville County child who is involved in an abuse and neglect case in Family Court. 99 children were turned away from the program in FY 2008-2009 due to a lack of trained volunteers. We believe these children deserve a positive, effective advocate to be their voice in the system.

Description

Abused and neglected children need a person who is willing to stand up for them and be their voice. Our program trains everyday citizens to be that voice. We provide staff support and supervision, but the person who makes the difference is the volunteer who connects with that child. A caring, compassionate adult who is willing to make a commitment to a child can change a child's life.
