AGENCY DESCRIPTION: A Family For Every Child is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) child welfare organization. Our mission is to find loving permanent families for all waiting foster children. Based in Eugene, Oregon, A Family For Every Child works nationally to ensure foster care is only a temporary solution for any child, as all children have the right to grow up in a loving, supportive, permanent home. JOB SUMMARY: A Family For Every Child seeks engaged, passionate volunteers to work within the Permanency programs. Volunteers in the Waiting Youth Outing program will work in partnership with the Permanency Director and the Permanency Coordinator to plan, coordinate and attend outings for the youth on our wait list for a mentor. SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Complete a background check as required by the State. Complete in-office program orientation. Ability to work well with youth. Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to communicate with diverse populations. Well organized and able to meet deadlines. Experience in child care or donation collection. Passion for improving outcomes for youth in the child welfare system.

Do you wish to make a difference in the life of a waiting foster child? Child Recruitment Specialist candidates will communicate extensively with caseworkers regarding the status and recruitment needs of waiting foster children. You will receive real world work experience in organizing and scheduling recruitment services, communicating with child welfare professionals, updating information as it is provided to us, scheduling and implementing services, tracking services and their results, and more. This is a great opportunity to learn marketable skills as well as do important and valuable work. Candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with diverse populations, strong computer/email skills, experience using google spreadsheets, slides, similar to Microsoft Office products. Candidates should also be well organized with attention to detail with ability to complete tasks independently, have the ability to meet deadlines, punctual, concientious and, most of all, be dedicated to helping foster youth. Phone skills are a plus, but not required. 3-6-9 month minimum commitment with rolling start dates 6 to 12 hours per week

JOB SUMMARY: A Family For Every Child is looking for a volunteer who can help with obtaining auction items for an annual fundraising event. Funds procured at this event allow AFFEC to oversee the vital programs that it administers, such as Mentoring, Family Preservation, Family Finding, and Matching Assistance. The Annual Event Intern/Volunteer will be responsible for contacting and communicating with donors, as well as helping to organize and run the auction at the annual event. RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the Event Coordinator, tasks may include: Soliciting and collecting donations from local vendors and organizations Media and outreach Attending auction committee meetings Organizing and categorizing donations prior to the event Prepping auction materials, including bidder files, bid sheets, and donor files Assisting with setup on the day of the event Working with auction vendors and assisting with other auction-related activities as needed

Email and digital marketing is a highly effective digital marketing strategy. A Family For Every Child has multiple positions across a variety of programs to develop your skills as we grow. This is a great resume building opportunity in a real world work environment. Some of the tasks you may perform include: Create a set of marketing plans for growth Organically build traffic to our many programs serving foster youth here in our own community, as well as across Oregon and nationwide Work with staff and a team of volunteers to create email, social media, newsletters, fliers and other marteting materials to be shared through our email marketing processes platforms. Work independently or as part of a team to hone your skills in a real world work environment Experience with Google docs, slides and calendars a plus, but not required. Excellent oral and written communication, attention to detail, ability to formulate and meet deadlines will be important. A passion to make a difference is essential. Minimum time commitment: 3 to 6 months 6 to 12 hours per week
