Mission Statement

We provide emergency assistance for families and individuals that find themselves without food. We give them 2 days of food each visit, at a limit of 2 visits in a 90-day period. We provide household items and clothes to all who need them: we do not have a limit for clothes but ask them to only take what they need. We only require two items of our clients. One is their social security card and the other is their photo ID. We do not discriminate in any way all are welcome to come and receive.

We receive commodities from the Nevadda State Food distribution program every 2 months. We buy food at a reduced price from the Three Square Food Bank every week. We participate in the postal Food Drive every year. We receive donations of food from other churches. Our Money donations come from Albertson’s, Food 4 Less, other churches, and Crop Walk. The HUMC provides our space and the church provides all maintenance. All of the help we receive for handling and distributing of food is volunteers, no one is paid for any part of what is done to supply the need of food and clothes for our clients. All of the clothes are donated no money is used to buy clothes.
