Kids X-Press, inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote literacy. We encourage children of all abilities, and from all ethnic, social and economic backgrounds, to express themselves and we provide them a forum through which they can communcate to the public the world from a kid's-eye-view.

Description

HOW DID KIDS X-PRESS GET HERE?

Responding to the need their own children had to be published, the founders of Kids X-Press began publishing an elementary newspaper. The benefit to the children was tremendous. The simple act of seeing their creations in print had the most profound effect on all of them, regardless of ability. Inspired by this, Kids X-Press, Inc. was born.

WHERE WE ARE GOING

Since its inception in 2001, Kids X-Press has published the works of more than 1000 children. The potential is endless, but our direction is clear. Kids X-Press will be a national presence in over 10 major urban markets. Our magazine will be distributed into the hands of over one million children and our workshops will reach out to the thousands of underserved children in the hardest to reach communities.

CIRCULATION

Due to the overwhelming demand for our magazine, we have pushed our annual distribution to over 140,000. We currently publish quarterly and are distributed through schools, libraries, stores, and community centers throughout the New York Metropolitan region.
