Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS), the public school district for the Louisville Metro area, is the 27th largest public school district in the country and serves more than 100,000 students at 155 schools. Our vision is that all JCPS students graduate prepared to reach their full potential and contribute to our society throughout life. JCPS is a majority minority district with 51% of students being non-white. And more than 62% of our students quality for the federal free/reduced lunch program. JCPS boasts 6 high schools on the U.S. News & World Report list of best U.S. High Schools and our Class of 2014 earned more than $145 million in scholarships.
