Mission Statement

As a day center for homeless families with children, The Family Place's mission is to provide for the families' most immediate needs while coordinating and delivering services that lead to family stability.

Description

Since opening The Family Place has functioned as a central hub with multiple service offerings addressing the primary concerns of homeless families in Ramsey County. These services, provided by The Family Place staff and Ramsey County Human Services personnel, include:

  • Meeting the basic needs of food, shelter and safety during daytime hours
  • Placing families in emergency shelter and helping them locate permanent or transitional housing
  • Assisting families with making application for a variety of assistance programs
  • Nurturing the children and providing enrichment activities
