Mission Statement

The mission of the Center for Learning through Service (CLS) is to enrich Casper College student learning and address community-needs through student civic engagement. To that end, CLS Is committed to developing and integrating a campus wide pedagogy that uses service to enhance critical and reflective thinking, as well as personal and civic responsibility.

Description

STRATEGIC PLAN

  • Provide support and resources to faculty interested in integrating service into teaching, research, service and extension.
  • Meet community needs and cultivate community partner relationships.
  • Provide information and resources on community service opportunities.
  • Develop and assist in the coordination of service activities and assignments.
  • Provide a method for documenting student Service Hours and reflection assignments.
  • Provide student and faculty incentives and recognition for community involvement.
