Mission Statement

The purpose of the Buffalo Senior/Community Center is to enhance the quality of life of Buffalo area adults, by actively promoting participation in all aspects of community.

The Senior/Community Center staff will work to provide equal access to the social, recreational, health, and educational needs of Buffalo area adults. It is and will be a focal point for services, information, and activities that promote independence and increase inclusion in community for area older adults. Programs that are offered promote active lifestyles, while allowing participants to use their skills and develop their potential to remain engaged in the community.

The Senior/Community Center also provides public meeting rooms and activity space for organized community groups, private parties, and non-profit groups in the Buffalo area. These groups may utilize the Senior/Community Center when not in use for Senior/Community Center programming.

Description

The Buffalo Community Center works with other organizations and individuals throughout the community to assist with development, programming, and opportunity for inclusion. From daily activities to service learning opportunities, the Community Center is a gathering place for individuals of all ages in the Buffalo Area.
