Mission Statement

The Lodi Adopt-A-Child Foundation was formed to fill an obvious need observed within the community of Lodi that effects many youth. "Not all children are born into equal financial status and as such sometimes miss an opportunity to grow into a productive citizen of the community." The Foundation is designed to give the disadvantaged/abused youth of our community an opportunity to secure a "special" Christmas present; a chance to attend a summer/science camp; to join a productive youth group; or, to secure warm clothing he or she may not receive due to the economic situation of his/her parent(s) or because the child is the victim of parental neglect or abuse.

Description

The Lodi Adopt-A-Child Foundation is a completely volunteer organization to: 1) match a child's wish for a "special" Christmas present with a sponsor or sponsors willing to grant that wish 2) grant a child's wish to attend a summer, science, music camp or other organized activity with classmates 3) grant a child's wish for new clothing and supplies for school 4) assist families with children that may be in need of food, clothing, or shelter brought about by misfortune, disaster, or domestic violence 5) assist disadvantaged/abused children with any "wish" possible by securing sufficient sponsors/donations
