Court Appointed Special Advocates of Southeast Texas, Inc. is a non-profit organization that recruits, trains and supervises a diverse group of community volunteers, appointed by the courts to advocate for abused and neglected children in the pursuit of safe, permanent homes.
Description
CASA of Southeast Texas, Inc. recruits and trains volunteers to serve as court-appointed special advocates for abused and neglected children in the foster care system in Jefferson County. CASA of Southeast Texas also provides a diligent search service to locate missing parents and family members. We also host mediation of the children's cases. Volunteer Duties: * fact finder for the court * Make recommendations to the court as to the child's best interest * Serve as a constant in the child's life throughout the life of the case.
