Mission Statement

The Museum is an educational institution devoted to collecting and interpreting objects and folklore representing the cultural and artistic heritage of the Middle Appalachian region and to provide educational and artistic programs for its region and for tourists.

Description

This small museum consists of a large museum gallery building and 14 historic log and stone dwellings in a Pioneer Park setting. We have 17,000 visitors a year.
