Mission Statement
To help the immigrants and their families, but not limited to them, to be healthy and productive individuals through various social services in this new homeland.
Description
Currently KCS provides multi-social services to a daily average of 1,100 individuals through its 5 program sites in the areas of immigration &community services, aging, Vocational training, and public health.
Immigration services include: immigration related information and referrals, citizenship/civic education, ESL/ESOL, computer/skill development services, youth volunteer program, and after-school & Saturday school for children with working parents.
Aging services include: Flushing Senior Center, and Corona Senior Center, congregate breakfast and lunch, home delivered meals, education & Recreational services, Case assistance, information & referrals. Adult Day Care program and Frendly visiting & Telephone alert services.
Vocational Training include: SCSEP(Senior Community Services and Employment Program), Employment Assistance program, and referrlas.
Public health services includes: health education and prevention services, Hepatitis B Prevention and treatment, Smoke Free project (Tobacco Control), health fair, seasonal flu shot, Managed Care Consumer Assistance, NYS Medicaid Enrollment program, and advocacy.
