Casa Loma College is dedicated to providing the highest standard of education, service, and excellence in the disciplines of nursing, allied health, and the public sector arena.
Our programs are designed to respond to the changing needs of our students by creating effective means of instruction that expand access to learning and provide opportunities for adults to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve their professional goals.
Casa Loma College (College) was founded in 1966 as a California nonprofit corporation. Originally located in the community of Pacoima, it was established to provide health education and training to individuals living in the San Fernando Valley. In 1972, Casa Loma College began the Vocational Nursing Program. As part of the College's goal to expand its programs to other communities, a second campus was opened in the Los Angeles area in 1989. The College continued to expand in 1998, by implementing the Nursing Assistant and Home Health Aide Training Program. In that same year, the valley campus relocated to Van Nuys to be more centrally located to its student population. In 2003, Casa Loma College expanded its course offerings by adding the Medical Assistant Program. A year later, the branch campus relocated to the city of Hawthorne, serving students in the southern Los Angeles area. The College became a degree granting institution in September of 2007, by instituting two programs: Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Emergency and Disaster Management. Both paths lead to an occupational Associate of Applied Science degree. Emergency and Disaster Management is the first 100% online program. The College introduced two more new programs the following year: Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Medical Insurance Billing/Coding. In 2009, as a result of increased demand, continued physical growth was necessary leading to the addition of a campus in Anaheim, California and the Van Nuys Campus expanded to a larger facility.
Casa Loma College is dedicated to helping individuals realize their occupational dreams by offering a variety of career education programs. Casa Loma College puts students' interests first by educating them for a career and getting them out in the workforce, as soon as possible. The College is proud to have over 5,500 graduates who have gone on to pursue professions in nursing and health care. The school continues to broaden the scope of programs offered, and keeps current with the continued changes in the area of health care.
