Mission Statement

To save lives by promoting lung health and preventing lung disease.

Description

The American Lung Association is a non-profit organization. Started in 1904 to stop the spread of TB, the organization has made great strides in stopping smoking in public places and continues to do research, education and advocacy for lung diseases such as asthma, copd, lung cancer and more.

In the Boston area, we hold an annual gala to support lung cancer awareness and we are looking for committee members to assist us with the planning of this wonderful event.

Fun event for a great cause. Participants ran in support of a loved one or a friend that is living with or has lived with lung disease. Other climbers were there to promote lung health and advocate for active lifestyles. The event was engaging and rewarding. Being able to volunteer with the American Lung Association in Fenway Park was an exciting opportunity.
