To serve the residents and visitors within the southcentral Brunswick County, North Carolina area to the best of our ability, through Public Education, Fire and Life Safety response, and Training.

Description

The Sunset Harbor / Zion Hill fire department was formed in 1979.This was the result of a fire in sunset harbor that burned six homes to the ground.The late Red Carter and Zack Smith organized fund raisers and purchased the land to build the fire station.Mr Carter and Mr Smith then obtained a loan from Urban development and built a three bay metal building to house the fire dept.That metal building is still in service to this day.We are located in Brunswick County, North Carolina on the far southeastern coastal area.The Atlantic intercoastal waterway and the Lockwood Folly river are on our boaders.
