Mission Statement

Our mission is to open the doors of opportunity to working people and their families. We aim to empower and improve the lives of farm workers and other low-income and immigrant workers through (1) the advancement of research, implementation, and enforcement of equitable policy, (2) civic engagement, and (3) community education.

Description

The UFW Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that aims to empower and improve the lives of farmworkers, immigrant workers and Latinos through community education, civic participation, and the promotion of equitable public policy. With offices in Los Angeles, Salinas, Greenfield and Bakersfield, the UFW Foundation is part of Cesar E. Chavez's Farm Worker Movement, which has fought for the rights of farm workers, immigrant workers and the Latino community for over 50 years. The UFW Foundation Immigration Program is a Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) recognized legal services program that provides reliable, accurate immigration advice and assistance at costs accessible to immigrant workers.
