Mission Statement

The ACE Mentor Program of the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area, Inc. has a two‑fold mission:

1) To enlighten and motivate students toward architecture, construction, engineering, and related careers.

2) To provide mentoring and scholarship opportunities for future designers and constructors.

Description

ACE is an Architecture, Construction and Engineering career mentoring program. It seeks to give high school students introductory skills in the industry, as well as provide scholarships for continued studies in higher education for local, state, and community colleges as well as technical institutions. In brief, the program functions as an after-school, year long curriculum (2 hours per session, with 2 sessions per month) that matches Architecture, Construction and Engineering industry professionals with promising students to motivate them towards careers in the industry. ACE makes a special attempt to reach students of all demographics.
