Mission Statement
The mission of Migration & Refugee Services is to provide refugees with the support and assistance they need in order to become self-sufficient. The role of MRS is to involve, organize, and bring together the agency, church, and community resources necessary for successful resettlement.
Description
Migration and Refugee Services was founded in 1975 after realizing the need for refugee resettlement in Louisville. Catholic Charities Migration and Refugee Services (MRS) is an affiliate of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB). We provide basic needs and support services for nearly 1000 refugee clients annually. Services include apartment set up, airport pickup, orientations, application for public benefits, medical case management, school registration and preparedness, employment services, and English language instruction.
