To provide quality accessible mental health services to strengthen children, families, and communities.
Child & Family Guidance Center 8915 Harry Hines Blvd. 214.351.3490 Historical Information For over one hundred years, Child and Family Guidance Center (CFGC) has provided much needed services to our community. The Family Guidance Center founded in 1896 and the Dallas Child Guidance Clinic founded in 1923 combined their resources in 1996 to form the Child and Family Guidance Center. Previous to that merger, the Center for Help of Abused and Neglected Children (CHANCE) had joined with the Dallas Child Guidance Clinic in 1993. Through the consolidation of these three well-respected non-profit corporations, the resources to provide critical and life enhancing services to clients and the community were expanded and strengthened.
