Mission Statement

The mission of the Great Plains Nature Center is to provide opportunities for the public to learn about the wildlife and plant species common to the Great Plains region and stress the importance of wise stewardship of these natural resources.

Description

The Great Plains Nature Center is a cooperative project between the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, and the City of Wichita. These agencies share a common goal of providing opportunities for the public to investigate, understand, and develop an appreciation for wildlife and the environment, while promoting sound stewardship of natural resources.
