Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
We are a caring, committed learning community in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago. We have many low or no income families, and homeless or shelter families. A very diverse community, we also immerse our students with special needs into all of our programs.
Our music teacher, Ms. Adrienne Henze, would like to have a more professional school choir. We have assemblies each choir, but her hope is to have a travelling choir and have our students appear in city-wide choirs and contests.
In addition to risers, electronic equipment, and more expensive items to enhance our performances, we would like to have simple long sleeved white polo shirts for our students. (We would collect and wash them for each performance.) In the future, we would like to have shirts embroidered with a Stockton School Choir emblem.
We also need dress (dark blue or black pants or khakis ) for boys and dark blue or black skirts for the girls who prefer them. Lastly, simple black shoes for boys and girls to wear to the perfomances only. (We always collect and maintain our wardrobes to ensure that our children will be prepared and confident to perform to their best ability!)
Many thanks for any and all donations.
We need donations of clothing for our students to wear to performances and competitions.
We also need a new sound system and video equipment to show parents who work and are unable to attend the events.
