Mission Statement

Our mission is to educate middle school boys from underserved neighborhoods in and surrounding the Hartford area because we believe that through rigorous preparations at this age, it changes the trajectory of communities. The goal at Covenant Prep is to graduate young men who are academically and socially prepared for higher education, inspired to lead their lives with integrity and become leaders committed to their communities. As such, it is designed to address Hartford’s educational crisis, one boy at a time, in a small school setting.

Description

  • There is no cost to families when their children join CPs.
  • We provide a safe learning space with a rigorous academic curriculum that is broad, balanced and provides a variety of enrichment programs to support the intellectual, physical, and emotional development of our students.
  • We provide our students with an extended school day which supports families to be in employment and crucially, enriches the learning experience of every boy by keeping them safe and away from the harms of the streets.
  • We have forged lasting partnerships with businesses locally and statewide that believe within our mission.
  • Our athletics and enrichment programs are carefully thought through based on the knowledge we have of our young men.
