Mission Statement

To provide a voluntary forum and structure to facilitate local governments to plan, coordinate, advocate, and when appropriate, implement cooperative programs of a regional nature within western Riverside County, in order to maintain and enhance the quality of life for residents.

Description

Western Riverside Council of Governments is a local government agency which consists of 5 seperate departments: air quality, transportation, GIS, planning, and solid waste. Currently we are working on regional projects such as new mass transit modes (Maglev), the Riverside County Integrated Project (RCIP), reviwing Environmental Impact Reports (EIR), proper Household Hazardous Waste disposal for small city residents, oil and oil filter recycling programs, and "The Cleanest County in the West" Litter Abatement program.
