Propósito: Un recepcionista voluntario se unirá a la Agencia para fortalecer los servicios en el sitio y en persona a la comunidad a la que servimos. Se espera que la recepcionista interactúe con los miembros de la comunidad y los clientes y mantenga el libro de registro de visitantes. Purpose: A Volunteer Receptionist will join the Agency in strengthening onsite, in-person services to the community we serve. The receptionist is expected to interact with community members and clients and maintain the visitor logbook. Agency contacts: Volunteer Services - volunteer@camarin.org Responsibilities and duties: Welcome and greet visitors in a polite and friendly manner. Maintain the reception and other Agency common areas according to local, state, federal, and Agency social distancing guidelines and periodically sanitize high touch surfaces. Assist with client intake and completing forms for special programs. Receive training on directing clients to services. Answer the phone as clients call and help them access services by sharing about the agency as well as completing materials on their behalf, as instructed by Safety Net Services Manager. Communicate with Agency personnel appropriately. Adhere to Agency privacy and confidentiality standards, and code of ethics. Communicates with individuals in a respectful manner and responsive approach to differing beliefs and practices, sexual orientations, disability statuses, gender identities, ages, cultural preferences, linguistic needs, and other state and federal protected statuses. Time commitment: Mondays and Fridays noon-4pm Required skills and qualifications: Skills & Qualifications 18+ years of age. Customer Service experience desired. Ability to engage with the public in an empathetic, culturally responsible manner. Basic technical knowledge (i.e. iPad, Microsoft Office, walkie-talkie). Organized, creative, and detail-oriented. Verbal communication skills. Demonstrate a positive attitude and welcome a collaborative work environment. Bi-lingual in Spanish and English preferred. Spanish or English only speaking considered. Volunteer Workforce Associate Purpose: Immediate opportunity for a volunteer to support the Workforce Program at Community Action Marin. Board of Directors Job Description WHO WE ARE Founded in 1966, Community Action Marin is the official anti-poverty agency of Marin County. As a Community Action Agency, we are charged with eliminating the causes and consequences of poverty. BOARD OF DIRECTORS Community Action Marin's Board of Directors is responsible for selecting and supporting the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), providing financial oversight, ensuring the agency has adequate resources, enhancing the agency's public standing, setting the mission and purpose, and assisting in monitoring its strategic plan. As a Community Action Agency, the Board of Directors is tripartite, made up equally of individuals representing the private sector, public sector, and those receiving services or representing low-income community. WHO YOU ARE All board members must reside in Marin County, CA and represent one or more of our three tripartite areas: professionals from the private sector, public sector, or individuals representing low-income communities or those directly receiving services through the agency's programs. Additional desired qualifications include: Commitment to public service and the people of Marin County Interest in developing and/or leveraging philanthropic relationships Previous experience on a nonprofit board of directors and with governance responsibilities The financial acumen to read and understand the agency's financial statements and to otherwise help the board fulfill its fiduciary responsibilities ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES To best support the organization, Community Action Marin board members are expected to: 1. Attend a Board Orientation (typically one hour); 2. Attend eight (8) board meetings per year; read board materials in advance of board meetings and come prepared to ask questions and participate in discussions; 3. Serve on at least one (1) sub-committee (Governance, Children and Family Services Program SubCommittee, Mental Health Program Sub-Committee, Investment, Finance, Audit, Personnel, etc.) and stay informed about committee matters; 4. Adequately prepare for meetings, and review and comment on minutes and reports; 5. Get to know other board members and Community Action Marin staff, building a collegial working relationship that contributes to in-depth knowledge of issues, and the ability to come to consensus as a board; 6. Volunteer for and willingly accept assignments, complete them thoroughly and on time 7. Evaluate the performance of the CEO on an annual basis; and 8.
