The mission of CIS Houston is to provide and to coordinate student assistance services at the school campus in order to best meet the physical and emotional needs of at-risk students and to empower these students to remain in school.

Description

Communities In Schools Houston (CIS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 1979 to provide student support services to at-risk youth. With programs in more than 90 schools in the Houston, Spring Branch, Alief, Aldine and Fort Bend school districts, CIS is able to touch the lives of over 36,000 students annually. CIS is a campus-based, non-profit organization that works with at-risk students in grades pre-K through 12, as well as with their families and communities, to provide opportunity, hope and change.
