Description

Citizen Schools seeks to change the life trajectories of middle school students, making them more likely to succeed in high school, attend college, get and hold good jobs, and serve as leaders in their communities. Citizen Schools also seeks to change children's lives beyond the bounds of our program by strengthening and growing the expanded learning time and after-school sectors locally and nationally.

Citizen Schools is a national leader in expanded learning time. We operate a national network of programs that build skills, advance achievement, and engage the community. Citizen Schools' hands-on program engages adolescents in relevant, real-world projects. They see the connection between the learning they do today and the opportunities they aspire to in their futures.
