The Mission of Communities In Schools of Palm Beach County surrounds students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.

Description

Communities In Schools of Palm Beach County, Inc. (CIS) works closely with the School District of Palm Beach County in working with students that may drop out of school.

In Florida, children are allowed to make the decision to drop out of school at the age of 16, with or without parental permission.

CIS staff positions staff and volunteers in schools during the day with students that Are considering dropping out of school. We work in the classroom along side teachers to motivate students to learn, stay in school and prepare for life after graduation.
