Mission Statement

The mission of the ToonSeum is to celebrate the art of cartooning. Our goal is to promote a deeper appreciation of the cartoonists and their work through hands-on workshops, community outreach, cartoon-oriented educational programming, and exhibitions or original cartoon art.

Description

The Toonseum is a non-profit museum gallery of cartoon and sequential art, featuring original works by local, international, and underground artists as well as artifacts spanning the history of the cartoon and animation. The Toonseum features a monthly rotating exhibit schedule and an extensive comics gift shop, an artist in residence program, workshops, special events, and special screenings. We also provide unique informational, instructional, and entertaining focus field trips for schools and groups.
