Mission Statement

The Yavapai County VISTA Project (YCVP), headquartered out of Youth Count and Prescott College, was created in 2006 out of the vision of a single AmeriCorps VISTA Member.

The Project's mission is to help build and sustain the efforts of Yavapai County service providers and community members to continually improve the quality of life across the region. We work to support efforts in creating a just and healthy community.

YCVP, supported by the Corporation for National and Community Service, provides full-time VISTA members to nonprofit, faith-based and other community organizations and public agencies to create and expand programs that ultimately bring low-income individuals and communities out of poverty.
