Mission Statement

Our mission is to educate and inspire visitors to Franklin Canyon to explore nature through a variety of interpretive programs and carry a respect for the environment into the future.

Description

The William O. Douglas Outdoor Classroom (WODOC) brings over 10,000 school children, mostly from the inner city, to Franklin Canyon for a two-hour hike that is educational and inspirational. WODOC also offers 25 - 30 programs each month to the public on topics from Incredible Edibles to Photo Fun to Full Moon Hikes.
