Mission Statement

The Center for Cultural Exchange is a non-profit cultural institution with a mission of promoting a broad appreciation of the interplay between culture and artistic expression. It does this by acting as a forum for artists who best exemplify world traditions, reflect contemporary trends and explore artistic frontiers, and by nurturing the artistic and cultural life of its own community in greater Portland and in the state of Maine.

Description

Center for Cultural Exchange serves as a community center for the expression of ethnic traditions and contemporary performance. Hosting over 200 events per year, the Center is among the most active public presenters of ethnic heritage in New England.
