Mission Statement

The mission of the Needham Council on Aging is to respond to its older residents' needs by providing a welcoming, inclusive, and secure environment where individuals and families benefit from programs, services and resources that enhance their quality of life and provide opportunities for growth.

Description

The Council on Aging provides a Senior Center where many programs take place Monday through Friday. There are exercise programs, lectures, bridge. mahjong, piano lessons, Spanish lessons, computer lessons, movies, trips, musical entertainment, knitting, two pool tables, ping pong, jewelry workshops and more. Lunch is served daily. There is help available with taxes and health insurance as well as an outreach department which connects seniors with all types of resources needed to stay safely in their homes or deal with transitions in their lives.
