Mission Statement

Freemed assists low-income uninsured people receive no or low-cost prescription medicine from manufacturers patient assistance programs.

Description

Since 2001, FREEMED has assisted more than 2000 people receive prescription medicine from manufacturers patient assistance programs. There are more than 250 programs offering more than 4000 prescription drugs/doses.

We serve clients in 10 Eastern Idaho counties, 2 Northwest Wyoming counties and 2 counties in Southwest Montana.

Most of our volunteers serve 4 to 8 hours a week as client advocates assisting clients through moderately complex enrollment and reordering processes. Our volunteers are rewarded by knowing people live healthier lives with their help.

When I go home tonight, I'll leave knowing the people I helped will be able to cope better and live healthier.
