The mission of Communities In Schools of Northeast Texas is to connect with business and industry, local public schools, Northeast Texas Community College, and families in providing young people access to community resources that will help them to successfully learn, stay in school, graduate, and prepare for life.
Description
Communities In Schools of Northeast Texas (CIS) is part of the Communities In Schools network, the nation's largest and most successful drop-out prevention program. CIS of Northeast Texas serves students in grades K through 12 in public schools in Camp, Morris, and Titus counties of Northeast Texas, providing supportive guidance, health & human services linkages, parental involvement opportunities, pre-employment training/employment assistance, cultural enrichment, and educational enhancement to help kids succeed in school and prepare for life.
