Mission Statement
Hello, I'm the founder of this brand new non-profit organization for the deaf and disability services. I'm looking for all different kinds of volunteers and once the organization is up and running, I will be hiring as paid employees for those who match with experiences and backgrounds I am looking to hire. Here's a brief explanation about our new organization, what our services will provide;
* Interpreter services for deaf
* Employment program (job placement, job coach, job training, life cycle, motivation support, job workshops, job fair,etc)
* Client Assistance
* Mental Health Counseling (also will provide support groups, health workshops every month)
* Advocacy
* Notary Services
* M.E.M.O. (Making Ends Meet Operation- MEMO) (help with food, clothing, furniture, shoes- we will donate to those families, people who needs them or for job search purposes)
* American Sign Language Classes
* Videophone and computer services for those who are deaf or disabled who needs to make deaf phone calls or use computers
* Peer/ Mentoring Program
* Financial Assistance with purchasing hearing aids
* Variety of educational workshops and fun events including Fund raising events with our non-profit organization
* Resources
* Domestic Violence workshops, counseling for women and children
Those are all services we will be providing from our non-profit organization and we will be welcoming to assist any deaf or disabled in any counties in New Jersey. I need volunteers to assist me to get this organization up and running as soon as possible so we can help others who are in a need of assistance. Here are list type of things I need volunteers to help me with;
* Grant writers
* organizes and plan fund raising events,workshops, seminars
*office work
* pick up donations
* help to clean and set up the new office,workshops,etc
* run variety type of errands
* build a website and Facebook/Twitter/Blogs for our non-profit organization
*Office work help
* DONORS, SPONSORS, GRANTS would be greatly appreciated and nominated on our wall/website by our organization for helping us to grow. (even private donors would be respected with discreet)
* Volunteers will get free food, awarded with prizes, make new friends, feel good about helping others, and get a possibly job out of this.
