Mission Statement

The Arc of Jefferson County is a non-profit organization who believes all people with intellectual and developmental disabilities have strengths , abilities and value. Established in 1966, we provide summer camp and recreational activities for children and adults with special needs for Jefferson County, DuBois and surrounding areas.

Description

Locally most people know us as Camp Friendship, this is where we base most of our services and events out of. Its located just outside of Reynoldsville towards Brookville.

Camp Friendship is a beautiful eight acre camp offering a quiet retreat from everyday life. There are two buildings, one of which offers a full kitchen and a nice dining hall or meeting room. The other building has a nice fireplace in the center and also offers classrooms for crafting and music. We have a very large fenced in pond for our members to use, picnic area with nice pavilion and 12 picnic tables, outdoor fireplace, basketball hoop, a nice hiking trail through the woods, and a small playground area for the children.
