Program Mission. "I am for the Child."

Program Vision. The Florida Guardian ad Litem Program will continue to be a powerful and effective voice advocating for the best interests of Florida's abused, abandoned and neglected children and be recognized and respected as a partnership of community advocates and professional staff. To the fullest extent possible, this vision will be realized through volunteers who will advocate as Guardians ad Litem for the children they serve.

Description

The State of Florida Guardian ad Litem Program is a network of professional staff and community advocates, partnering to provide a strong voice in court and positive systemic change on behalf of Florida's abused and neglected children. There are 21 local Guardian ad Litem programs in 20 judicial circuits in Florida.

A Guardian provides a "voice" for every abused, neglected and abandoned child. Please help us help them. Call 850-595-3728 or visit guardianadlitem.org for more information on how to volunteer.

Sincerely,

Bryan Carter, CPM

I always wanted to do something that would make a difference. I've been a volunteer for just under a year now and love it! My job is to speak for the child's best interest. The time requirements are up to me as long as I meet with my children once a month. Of course, I put in whatever time my GAL children need. They don't ask for much, and I'm happy to give more. I am making a difference one child at a time. This is a great way to make your time count for something so needed and so rewarding. I highly recommend volunteering for Guardian ad Litem.
