Mission Statement

The Passaic County Women's Center strives to eliminate domestic and sexual violence by providing a variety of programs that address these complex issues. Extensive services are available to anyone concerned with issues of domestic violence and sexual assault whether or not they are in need of shelter. PCWC also focuses on educating the community about these issues by holding presentations, trainings, and other informational services. With direct service and advocacy, PCWC will continue to work to end domestic and sexual violence in our communities.

Description

The Passaic County Women's Center (PCWC), a private non-profit organization, is a division of the New Jersey Association on Correction, formerly the Morrow Association. PCWC was established in 1986 with a mandate as the only shelter in the county exclusively serving battered women and their children. Since the center's inception, the services have expanded to include a variety of programs addressing the complex problems of both domestic violence and sexual assault, regardless of ethnicity, gender, race, religion, sex, and sexual orientation.
