Project Wildlife; Conservation through Education and Wildlife Care. Project Wildlife is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release back into natural habitats of orphaned, injured or ill wildlife found in San Diego County. Project Wildlife strives to educated its members and the public in order to foster an understanding and respect for wildlife and natural ecosystems.

Description

Each year Project Wildlife cares for over 11,000 wild animals in need. In addition, Project Wildlife supports a wildlife care center where the public can bring wild birds or mammals that need attention due to injuries, illness or abandonment. Project Wildlife employs very few paid staff members. The organization relies heavily on its volunteer force. EVERY volunteer position, whether working directly with animals or other support position, is critical in the success of returning animals to the wild.
